Lodging
August is a very busy time of the year in Au Train and the surrounding area. A quick google search will net a variety of lodging options from rustic camping to luxury AirBnB's, so feel free to explore your options. To help, we'll list a couple of places that we are partial to. In general, lodging in Au Train will be simple. There is a block of rooms in Christmas, MI at the White Pine Lodge and would recommend this as an economy option as it's the closest hotel to the wedding venue. Wetmore (~ 20 minutes away) has some typical economy hotel chains and Munising(~15 minutes) has a wide variety including some hotels on the most southern point of Lake Superior, beautiful Munising Bay. If you're seeking a more urban experience, Marquette (~30 minutes) might be the place for you! Flight
Marquette Sawyer Regional Airport
Marquette Sawyer is the nearest airport to the wedding venue at about 36 miles or 43 minutes away. There are usually one flight from Detroit, Chicago and Minneapolis daily. Rental cars can be difficult to come by, so book in advance. Being a small airport, flight prices can be high. Depending on your time constraints and willingness to drive, flying into a less remote area such as Green Bay, Appleton or even Milwaukee may be a better option for you.

Delta County Airport
Delta County Airport(ESC) located in Escanaba, MI is extremely small and has flights to Detroit and Minneapolis most days. It's about an hour away from the wedding venue. Rental cars can be difficult to come by, so book in advance. Being a small airport, flight prices can be high. Depending on your time constraints and willingness to drive, flying into a less remote area such as Green Bay, Appleton or even Milwaukee may be a better option for you.

Pellston Regional Airport
Another small airport that does regional connectors. It is ~2.5 hours away from the venue and near some of the best of the lower peninsula of Michigan and Mackinac Island.
