Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes, there will be beer and a small selection of basic mixed drinks at the open bar. As the wedding is at a private residence bringing your own drinks is also acceptable. Please tip your bartenders.

Can I bring a +1? My kids? My dog?

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

We are currently working on a shuttle service that would take people from the venue to the town of Au Train, any of the campgrounds surrounding the lake and the town of Christmas -- The website will be updated once this is confirmed! Other options are listed below: The best option for transportation locally is the Alger County Transit Authority or ALTRAN. You can preschedule point-to-point rides. This is from their website: " You must call and arrange your rides through our Dispatch Center (906) 387-4845 Ext. 1. We have an on-call phone for after hours (906) 202-0245, the driver will try to provide immediate transportation. Please use the on-call phone for same day cancellations after hours. Failure to provide a one-hour notice will result in a “no-show” charge." We encourage people to carpool, have a designated driver or look into taxi services. The area does not typically have rideshare services though occasionally there is an Uber driver around. There are a couple nearby taxi services, but please arrange well in advance as Au Train off the beaten path: Model Towne Taxi 906-235-2353 Checker Cab 906-226-7777

Do you have suggestions for childcare if we are coming from out of town?

Yes, please reach out if you're coming from out of town and will be wanting childcare for the day of the wedding.
