Our Nation's 1st National Lakeshore! There’s so much to explore! For a longer adventure, consider the Chapel Loop Hike. For shorter, scenic walks, Munising Falls and Miners Beach are excellent choices. If you prefer a stunning view with easy access by car, Miners Castle is a must-see. https://picturedrocks.com/ will take you to the cruise ships. This is fastest way to see a lot of the cliff side. https://picturedrockskayaking.com/ is a more immersive option to see the cliffs by kayak. Highly recommended if you have the time. Grand Island National Recreation Area
Amanda and Joe paddled out here with George the Doodle while he slept on the bottom of a kayak. Can be best seen by taking "The Riptide Ride"! --> https://riptideride.com/ Alternatively, you can travel over there by personal boat or ferry
Au Train River Paddle Trip
Joe and Amanda have made many canoe trips together...including the Au Train River. It's one of the best canoe or kayak trips in the Upper Peninsula and the launch just happens to be right next to the wedding.
