Flight
The most common way guests arrive at Notre Dame is by flying into either O'Hare or Midway airports in Chicago. From there, they typically rent a car and drive for 1.5 to 2 hours to reach South Bend. Midway is about 20-30 minutes closer to South Bend than O'Hare due to traffic (Google says otherwise). Alternatively, guests can take the South Shore or Amtrak trains from Chicago to South Bend. While there are some direct flights to South Bend, they are less frequent and more expensive due to the smaller size of the airport. It's important to note that Chicago operates on Central Standard Time (CST), while South Bend operates on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Therefore, if you leave Chicago at 1:00 PM CST and the drive takes 2 hours, you will arrive in South Bend at 4:00 PM EST.
Train
Guests can take the South Shore or Amtrak trains from Chicago to South Bend. The South Shore departs from Millennium Station and provides direct service to South Bend Airport, about 15 minutes from Notre Dame. Amtrak trains depart from various Chicago stations, offering direct service to the South Bend station on the city’s west side, also 15 minutes from campus.
Hotel
This is at the heart of Notre Dame campus, next door to the Groom's old stomping grounds (Alumni Hall) and approximately a 10-minute walk to the ceremony and to the reception. We will provide golf-carts for guests to take to and from the ceremony and reception. The Rohr's bar located in the lobby is also a great place to mingle with guests after the ceremony and before the reception starts. Unfortunately, the Morris Inn Room Block fully booked at this time. Guests can check the link and call periodically mentioning “McPeek-Libero Wedding” to see if any rooms become available. Please note that with the five other Basilica weddings happening the same weekend, and our block allocating for 25% of the hotel capacity, it is unlikely we will be able to expand the hotel block. We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests to look at other available accommodations. If you had your heart set on staying here, we sincerely hope a room will open up. We recommend calling for the most up-to-date information. https://res.windsurfercrs.com/ibe/details.aspx?propertyid=13976&nights=2&checkin=7/18/2025&group=EMS458298&lang=en-us

Travel Note
There are plenty of excellent accommodation options beyond the places where we’ve reserved blocks. Outside of the listed hotels, we also recommend the Embassy Suites which is across the street from the reception and walking distance from the Fairfield Inn, where a shuttle will depart. Alternatively, the Inn at Saint Mary's is close to Notre Dame campus. It is within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn and Suites, so guests can access the Hilton Garden shuttle easily. Additionally, South Bend, being a football town, offers a wide range of Airbnb and other Hotel options to suit various preferences and budgets! We recommend looking in the nearby Mishawaka and Granger too! Ubers are also a reliable way to get around, however, during the daytime there tends to be longer wait times.
