This wedding will operate in Mussolini-like fashion (not the fascist sense, but, like, you know, the trains running on time. You know what we mean!). Our ceremony will begin at 5:00pm. Traffic can be very heavy in this area so please leave plenty of time to arrive on time (please see our notes about parking and the bus situation in the FAQ below for more transportation details). Guests may arrive at 4:00 at the earliest in order for you to park and enter (the venue is in a neighborhood with two entry points that are one lane streets, so traffic has the potential to bottleneck), and get an Aperol Spritz or Manhattan in hand. But, please arrive no later than 4:55 for a ceremony start time of 5:00 pm sharp.
Yes, there is plenty of parking available onsite. And, you are welcome to leave your car overnight, with the latest pick-up time at 10 a.m. the following day (getting a ride/Uber/Lyft/hitchhike back to the venue on Saturday the 9th is on you ;)) We have chartered a bus to pick-up guests from Four Points San Rafael after check-in, leaving the hotel promptly at 4 p.m. in order to get you to the venue with plenty of time to get a welcome drink and to find a seat. This will be a one time trip TO the venue, so if you don't think you'll be at the Four Points San Rafael and checked in before 4 p.m., then transport to Deer Park Villa is on you. The bus will also take guests FROM the wedding venue to the Four Points by Sheraton in San Rafael. There will an early-bird pick up (sometime in the 9 p.m. hour), and another pick-up later, after last call. The bus will be making a stop at Nave's Saloon for a final-final before heading to the Four Points San Rafael. We want you to have all the fun, and none of the DUIs. Just remember, you've gotta hitch a hungover ride with friends or family, or ride share to get your car off of Deer Park's property by 10 a.m. the next morning.
Although we love your little ones, please note this will be an adult-only ceremony and reception. We hope that you can take a night off to truly relax and let loose.
We would love to see our family and friends get dressed up with us! We are requesting a semi-formal or cocktail dress code for our evening. This means cocktail, semi-formal or formal dress. No jeans please. Our wedding will be taking place in a gravel area so please keep this in mind when choosing your footwear.
Don't even think about it. We are having an 'unplugged' ceremony. This just means that we kindly ask that all phones and devices be put away and on silent/turned off during the ceremony. Why? Well, we have hired a professional to capture some of the most important moments of our life and we'd hate to have a well-meaning persons' phone/device blocking that moment. After the ceremony feel free to snap as many photos as your heart desires. And don't worry, we are happy to share all of our professional photos with you as well! *P.S., A note from Dom: And don't think I won't see you trying to sneak out your phone. Seriously, put it away, or I'm cutting you off at the bar!
We will be host signature welcome drinks selected by Dominic and Danielle upon arrival. Beer, wine, bubbles, and sodas from Cocktail Hour through the duration of our wedding night. Spirits will be available, yet not hosted.
