Formerly a mining town, the town of Kabwe is still slow-growing and trying to recover its industry since the closure of the mines. Kabwe is not particularly a tourist destination and so there is not much to do in terms of activities. Besides the night life, other attractions in Kabwe include the Mulungushi Dam where one can do various water activities including fishing; hiking trails at the actual broken hill including the lakes which were once mine shafts. There are also numerous cafes and eating places around town.
