Location: Presidential Suite within the Monterey Plaza Hotel All guests are invited to a Welcome Dinner on Friday evening, February 28th at 7pm. We have reserved the Presidential Suite of the hotel for the weekend. This BBQ dinner buffet will take place in the Presidential Suite. Tables will be set up and we will be served right in the living room. This will also serve as a hang out space after the wedding the following night. This will provide a casual and welcoming space for arriving guests with an opportunity for introductions between our closest family and friends. The Presidential Suite includes a 500 sq ft sun deck with a whirlpool tub, stereo, and a 180-degree view of Monterey Bay. African or Dressy Casual Attire: Loucynda, Edwin, and their parents will wear African prints. Feel free to wear them too, but it's not required. Women can wear a dress or nice jeans/dressy top; men can wear a dress shirt/casual button-down and slacks.

Location: Ocean Club within the Monterey Plaza Hotel Semi-Formal Attire: Suits and cocktail dresses or gowns are welcome. Tuxes are not necessary, Edwin may not even wear a tux.
5:15 pm - 6:15 pm
All guests are welcome to join us for photos around the property and cocktail hour in the Monterey Bay Room. We may venture outdoors for photos depending on weather. At the cocktail hour in the Monterey Bay Room, appetizers will be served as well as apple cider tasting. Edwin and Loucy have discovered the multiple different flavors of Martinelli's apple cider and have arranged for apple cider tastings during the cocktail hour. There will also be other alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. Fun fact: Martinelli's headcounters is right off highway 1 between Santa Cruz and Monterey. You will likely pass it on your way to Monterey. Sunset is at 6:03pm. Semi-Formal Attire: Suits and cocktail dresses or gowns are welcome. Tuxes are not necessary, Edwin may not even wear a tux.

Location: Monterey Bay Room within the Monterey Plaza Hotel All guests are welcome to join us for dinner in the Monterey Bay Room. We will have one long table to join all of our closest family and friends. Wedding Reception buffet will include Minestrone genovese, Antipasto, Margherita flatbread, Caesar salad, Glazed skirt steak, Garlic Focaccia, Grilled sea bass, Marinated chicken thigh, Sausage and pepper rigatoni pasta, Creamy mushroom polenta, Roasted vegetables, Tiramisu, Balsamic and strawberry panna cotta, Pistachio cannoli We will have a DJ throughout the cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, so please do submit song requests. Dessert will be wedding cake. Semi-Formal Attire: Suits and cocktail dresses or gowns are welcome. Tuxes are not necessary, Edwin may not even wear a tux.

Location: Presidential Suite within the Monterey Plaza Hotel After dinner, for those still interested in socializing, we will head back to the Presidential Suite to relax, enjoy snacks and beverages, and enjoy each other's company.

Location: Ocean Club within the Monterey Plaza Hotel After the big day, we will all definitely be hungry for breakfast! So we'll head back to the Ocean Club (the same room as the wedding ceremony) for a Brunch. Departure Brunch buffet will include Seasonal fruit platter, house-baked breakfast pastries, Fresh orange and grapefruit juices, Plaza coffee and herbal tea, Farm fresh scrambled eggs, Buttermilk pancakes, Hash browns, Chicken-apple sausage links, Applewood smoked bacon. We recommend having your bags packed prior to brunch so that you can check out and depart shortly after brunch, as the hotel's check out time is 12pm. Dressy Casual Attire: Women - Dress, Skirt and dressy top, Dressy pants outfit, Nice jeans and dressy top.
