We're getting married!!

Loucy and Edwin met through online dating app Bumble in July 2023. They went on a first date on Friday, July 14, 2023 at Calavera, a Mexican restaurant in downtown Oakland which has since closed. Loucy used to work just a few blocks away, so she was very familiar with the area and suggested exploring a bar down the street called Sand Bar. After enjoying a few cocktails and mocktails, Loucy and Edwin continued on, specifically searching for a venue with some dance music. After stopping in at Au Lounge, they landed at one of Loucy's favorites... Somar. Despite initial confidence, Loucy shied away from the dance floor. Which was no challenge for Edwin, who dragged her out on the dance floor and helped her get over her bashfulness and dance the night away. Loucy had a hotel in Oakland for the whole weekend, planning to go to a day party in Oakland on Saturday with a couple girlfriends. Edwin had other plans, but decided to join Loucy and her friends at to this event, where they got to listen and dance to more music and Edwin got to meet some of Loucy's friends already. Loucy had plans the next weekend to stay in Napa with her dog Hudson and ultimately invited Edwin along to join, despite barely knowing him for 48 hours. That weekend in Napa, they decided to date exclusively (after just 1 week!). And the rest is history! They've spent nearly every weekend together since. Edwin moved into Loucy's house in March 2024, and proposed at their home on their one-year anniversary on July 14, 2024.
