La Catedral Restaurante
You can find this restaurant on the street called la Calle de la Iglesia. This is my favorite restaurant in Cartagena. They have the best food for the best price. The drinks are all amazing. The staff are so great and attentive. I highly recommend this place! Se encuentra en la Calle de la Iglesia. Este restaurante es mi favorito en todo Cartagena. Tiene la mejor comida al mejor precio. Los tragos todos son excelente. Las personas que trabajan aquí son super cheers y muy atentos. Recomiendo mucho este lugar!
La Cevichería Restaurante
This place is the best and most well-known ceviche restaurant in Cartagena. It is also one of the most expensive. You will find that it is always crowded, so make sure to reserve a spot in advance. Due to it's prestigious reputation you will find a lot of street vendors selling in front of this location. I recommend sitting inside if you don't want to be brother while you are eating. Este lugar es el mejor y más conocido restaurante de ceviche en Cartagena. Siempre esta lleno entonces asegúrese a hacer una reservación con tiempo avanzado. Por lo que tiene una prestigiosa reputación, tu vas a ver que hay muchos vendedores enfrente de este local. Yo recomiendo que te sientes adentro del el restaurante si tu no quiere que te molesten mientras comes.

The food and drinks are amazing here. Perfect location for a date night. Amazing service and beautiful garden view. I would recommend making a reservation here as it is a very popular dinner spot. La comida y tragos son excelente aquí. Un local perfecto para una cita romántica. El servicio es maravilloso y el jardín es divino. Yo recomiendo que haga una reservación porque este lugar es muy popular.
Buena Vida Marisquería - Cartagena
The food is very good here but very pricey. I recommend hitting the rooftop bar. You get a nice breeze and great drinks. Perfect vibe for a chill night. IG Worthy. La comida s muy buena aquí pero un poco caro. Yo recomiendo que vayan a la terraza. Las vibras es perfecta para una noche chévere. Perfecto para las fotos de Instagram.
Mar y Zielo Gastro Bar
This is a good restaurant however, I recommend coming here for the rooftop bar. The drinks are very good but the view is even better. The vibe is chill and very IG worthy on all floors. Este es un buen restaurante aunque recomiendo que venga aquí es para el bar que se encuentra en la terraza. Los tragos son muy buenos pero la vista esta mas buena. Las vibras es super relajado y excelente lugar para las fotos de Instagram.
Juan Del Mar Restaurante
The food here is amazing. My favorite was the appetizer called "Muelitas de Cangrejo" wow. they are small but so yummy! They always have a band and play cool tunes while you eat. I recommend eating inside if possible. La comida aquí es increíble. Mi favorito fue el antojito llamado "Muelitas de Cangrejo" wow. ¡Son pequeños pero deliciosos! Siempre tienen una banda y tocan melodías geniales mientras comes. Recomiendo comer dentro si es posible.
Restaurante El Gobernador
This restaurant is located inside the "Bastion Luxury Hotel". It is kind of a hidden gem since most people do not know of it unless you are staying at the hotel. It was very private when I went and service was great. I had the shrimp pasta and grilled octopus. The food was great! Este restaurante está ubicado dentro del "Bastion Luxury Hotel". Es una especie de joya escondida ya que la mayoría de la gente no lo conoce a menos que se aloje en el hotel. Era muy privado cuando fui y el servicio fue excelente. Tuve la pasta de camarones y pulpo a la parrilla. ¡La comida estuvo grandiosa!

Open just over a year, Celele is one of the most successful restaurants in town, earning the Miele One to Watch Award for 2019 on the Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants list. Star chefs Jaime Rodríguez & Sebastián Pinzón researched the area for four years before opening their restaurant, using the business as an opportunity to showcase handicrafts from local indigenous and rural communities. They serve a contemporary tasting menu and daily a la carte options, including traditional stew with slices of cured duck. For dessert, try the traditional mingui. Abierto hace poco más de un año, Celele es uno de los restaurantes más exitosos de la ciudad y ganó el premio Miele One to Watch de 2019 en la lista de los 50 mejores restaurantes de América Latina. Los chefs investigaron el área durante cuatro años antes de abrir su restaurante, utilizando el negocio como una oportunidad para exhibir las artesanías de las comunidades indígenas y rurales locales.

This place opens at 4:30pm and gets full very quickly. I recommend making a reservation in advance. The service isn't great due to how big it is and very little staff. The food is ok. The reason to come here is simply for the view of the sunset. It is very windy here so keep that in mind for personal items like hats. I recommend having a beer or cocktail and watch the sunset. They do have live band at night around and it is a great vibe. Este lugar abre a las 4:30pm y se llena muy rápido. Yo recomiendo que hagas una reservación avanzada. El servicio no es tan bueno por lo que el lugar es muy grande y no tienen suficiente personas atendiendo. La comida es regular. La razón porque recomiendo venir acá es simplemente por la vista del el mar y el sol. Es muy ventoso aquí entonces tenga eso en mente para cosas personales como los gorros. Recomiendo que se tome una cerveza o un coctel y ver el sol caer. Tienen banda en vivo en la noche y es una buena vibra.
Alquimico Bar
This is a 3 floor bar but the best vibe is at the rooftop. Each floor has a different drink menu and all are great. My favorite is the rooftop drinks. Each drink is based on 10 exotic animals in Colombia that are endangered. A percentage of the money they make from the drinks is given to the preservations of these animals within faculties in Colombia. My favorite drink is Uturuncu. Este bar tiene tres pisos pero la mejor vibra es en la terraza. Cada piso tiene un menu de tragos diferentes y todos son excelentes. Mi favorito es en la terraza. Cada trago es inspirado por 10 de los animales exóticos de el país. Varios en via de extinción. Un porcentaje del dinero que hacen de los tragos los dan a facultades para la preservación de estos animales. Mi Favorito trago es el Uturuncu.

This rooftop has great drinks and a dope vibe. Esta terrza tiene excelentes bebidas y un ambiente genial.
Mirador Gastro Bar
Rooftop with a great view towards the clocktower. Drinks and music are good here. Azotea con una gran vista hacia la torre del reloj. Las bebidas y la música son buenas aquí.

For some spectacular views of Cartagena, you will need to travel outside the historic center to Bocagrande. At the top of the skyscraping Estelar Hotel and Convention Center, you will find a bar that offers 360-degree views. I highly recommend getting for desert an arequipe waffle with arequipe ice cream. Arequipe is very similar to dulce de leche. It is my favorite. They have many great desert and amazing food items. Yo recomiendo que de postre compre un Waffle de Arequipe con helado de arequipe. Arequipa es muy similar al dulce de leche. Este es mi favorito. Tienen muchas opciones deliciosa de postre y comida muy excelente.

If you find yourself in Bocagrande neighborhood or "New City" area. This is a cute cafe with great breakfast options. Very cute and yummy food. Si te encuentras en el barrio de Bocagrande o zona de "Ciudad Nueva". Este es un lindo café con excelentes opciones de desayuno. Muy linda y deliciosa comida.

Portal De Los Dulces
Candy shop Portal de los Dulces has become an icon of Cartagena, nearly as famous as the landmark square in which it sits. Nestled in the Plaza de los Coches and framed by beautiful arches, the shop boasts a great view of the Clock Tower to enjoy as you sample traditional regional candies. You’ll find cocadas (coconut macaroons filled with guava or pineapple), cabellito de ángel (shredded papaya cooked in spiced syrup), tamarind balls coated in sugar, muñequitas de leche (milk caramels shaped into small dolls), and casabe filled with ripe plantain puree. Bring Cash (in Pesos). La confitería Portal de los Dulces se ha convertido en un ícono de Cartagena, casi tan famosa como la emblemática plaza en la que se asienta. This hill is the highest point in the city and its shape resembles the poop deck of a ship. You’ll get the best views of Cartagena and its beaches from here, and you can enter the chapel to see the image of La Virgen de la Candelaria as well as the courtyard filled with flowers. Esta colina es el punto más alto de la ciudad y su forma se asemeja a la cubierta de popa de un barco. Tendrás las mejores vistas de Cartagena y sus playas desde aquí, y podrás entrar a la capilla para ver la imagen de la Virgen de la Candelaria así como el patio lleno de flores.
Getsemani
I recommend walking outside the walled city to the close by neighborhood called Getsemani. They have the most amazing art murals. They do art tours on foot or on bike. I think you can do it on your own and save the money. They also have a lot of cool streets with random decore. Plenty of street vendors to get cool gifts and at a cheaper price than within the walled city. At night they have a lot of cool places to hit up but you will see mainly locals in this area. Yo recomiendo que salga de la ciudad y vaya al barrio que se llama Getsemani. Ahi tu vas a encontrar unas murallas de arte divinas. Hacen tours caminando o en cicla. Yo pienso que uno lo puede hacer uno mismo y ahorrarse el dinero pero tu veras. Hay muchas calles que están decoradas super chévere. Hay bastantes de tienditas para comprar regalos que son más económicos que adentro de la ciudad. En la noche hay muchas cosas chéveres para hacer aunque la mayoría son locales de Cartagena.
