Dry Law in Effect Saturday & Sunday

Answer

Elections will be taking place the weekend of our wedding. Not to worry as this doesn't not include Friday Welcome night. It is only Saturday & Sunday. Saturday we will be at Bora Bora Playa which has their own rules and will allow us to drink. Worst case scenario, I will stock up on bottles before hand. The only day which will be of concern is Sunday. If you wish to drink on Sunday, I recommend buying a bottle at the local market such as Exito. You can still go out to bars, they just wont serve alcohol. Let me know if you have questions or concerns.

Las elecciones se llevarán a cabo el fin de semana de nuestra boda. No se preocupe, ya que esto no incluye la noche de bienvenida del viernes. Solo es sábado y domingo. Pre-Wedding Happenings ***Friday, March 11th*** Welcome Night ~ 5:30pm - 8:00pm 🖤Hosted at Alquímico Bar Rooftop. The bar is located on Calle del colegio #34-24 Centro histórico, Cartagena 130001. This is an all white party! This event will be open bar so please come on time or you will miss out. After 8pm our private event will end but you are welcome to stay and keep the party going. ***Saturday, March 12th*** Beach Day~ 7:00am - 5:00pm 🖤Hosted at Bora Bora Playa. This is a private island beach day event. Everyone interested in going please reach out to Daniela. This event will be at your own cost. It will be about $250,000 peso, approximately $70 usd. This will include a boat ride to the island and back as well as lunch. ***Sunday, March 13th*** Relax Day 🖤Take this day to relax and explore the city. We decided to not do the Chiva Bus ride to allow our guests to do their own thing before the big day.

The Dress code is Formal attire. Dress to Impress. This would be gown dress for women. Suits for men. or a nice button down shirt with slacks Be aware that weather will be hot in Cartagena. Although our venue has AC, The Church does not. Be mindful that the wedding colors will be Dusty Blue & Tan.

How does the HoneyMoon & Wedding Funds work?

Answer

Guests contribute to these funds using their credit cards. Zola does not make no money on your cash funds. There is a 2.4% fee (the absolute lowest you'll find of any registry) to cover credit card processing. The funds are giving to the couple's bank account. We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your invitation. But for all other activities that weekend, you can bring your guest (i.e.: Welcome Night, Beach day) Just please let us know in advance. Thanks!

We love your little ones! However, to allow all of our guests, including parents, the chance to have an evening of relaxation, we would appreciate it if you could make arrangements ahead of time and leave the kids at home so you can celebrate with us. We have made a few exception to new parents and they know who they are. if you are not sure please reach out.

WHERE DO I GET COVID TESTED?

Check out the Travel Tab to find a few clinic's listed. You can also reach out to our wedding planner Daniela Lopera. Her contact info will be on your invitations. In Addition, most of 5-star hotels in Cartagena offer a concierge service that helps clients obtain a covid-19 test. They will generally recommend a lab or clinic they partner with or have a special arrangement to help tourists in obtaining these tests. A handful of hotels such as Sofitel Santa Clara Hotel will arrange a test to be done at the actual hotel or the guest’s room. Pricing of COVID-19 tests of each hotel and clinic are different. And currently, no hotels in Cartagena offer FREE testing for their guests.
