When someone moves to your hometown, and that town is a small one, you end up knowing a lot of the same people even if you've never met each other. Now consider the Facebook network and the power it has to connect friends, and friends of friends, and you will understand how Colin and Lorraine "ran into" each other online. Lorraine could see from Colin's timeline that he had suffered through the loss of his beloved wife, and that he had been an incredible husband to her and was now a masterful single parent. Colin could see from Lorraine’s profile that she was an intelligent, beautiful and strong woman, terrific single mother and an adventurer. * * * At first we shared music, each of us sending uplifting or inspiring music. We did this for almost six months, a constant barrage of new musical finds. After carrying on like this, under the guise of "show me new music" for more than 6 months via Facebook, we finally decided to meet in real life. To say that dinner was awkward would be an understatement, but here we are 7 years later planning a wedding.
