In June 2020, Justin sent the first message on Hinge and he will never let it go how Jen left him on "read" for two days. She will always defend herself for working on her rollerskating craft during the era of COVID shutdown. The conversations were effortless and inspiring to start a future together. On their first date, Justin scooped her up for a night out at the Treaty Oak Distillery in Dripping Springs, Texas where they enjoyed whiskey throughout the evening. They shared personal goals with desires of a fulfilling life and quickly realized how entwined they already were. Ever since, they have built a life that has provided so much to thrive together (the hardest test was getting Remy, Jen's dog, and Emma, Justin's cat, to accept each other as siblings). On November 15, 2025, Justin set up a weekend getaway at Jen's favorite stay-cation destination, Fredericksburg, Texas. After a classic mishap of having to wait hours to have dinner out on the town, they grabbed a bottle of wine to enjoy back in the rental in the hill country. On the drive back, Justin blasted Frank Sinatra's classic "Fly Me To The Moon" under the star-lit sky, and once on the front porch of the cabin, Justin proposed to Jen and she said "yes"! Now they plan to celebrate the start of their forever with their closest family and friends. They can't wait to share the celebration of their love with those who have joined them along the way over the past 6 years!
