How we met

We met online, no, not Tinder, OKCupid (it's a legit dating website). Logan really liked that OKCupid gave you questionnaires and allowed you to see how you match up against potential partners. Sandra and Logan had about a 92% match rate, go figure. Sandra saw Logan's profile and struck up a conversation about movies. After talking for almost two months, we both were pretty eager to meet each other in person. We decided on a casual meet-up, mostly to make sure neither one was a serial killer. Logan chose a hip little café bar in downtown Bryan, but it was closed for a private party. So as any smooth operator would, he thought on his feet and decided to lead Sandra down a "mot at all dark and murder-y alley" to a favorite bar, Rev's. It was there, in this grungy little dive bar that Sandra and Logan started to fall in love with each other.

What He loves about Sandra

When I first met Sandra I realized immediately she is a smart, driven, and ambitious individual, but she's so well balanced in that she's als immensely kind and compassionate, understanding, and adventurous. Sandra understands the importance of good communication, something we both value. It definitely doesn't hurt that we both love animals and can stand to discuss bloody gory stories during dinner (or during our first date). I love being able to see the twinkle in her eyes when she's talking about something she's passionate about, and she likes to talk about a lot. I love being able to see her smile when I can make her laugh, and her frown when I make horrible jokes. In Sandra I've found someone that I want to adventure through life with, and someone that I can smile and frown with through it all.

What she loves about Logan

Logan is the most dedicated and loving man I have ever known. I know that he would do anything for me, or anyone in his family. Logan works incredibly hard to meet his goals and never gives up. He helps me relax, keeps me on my toes, and always has a funny (or 'punny') comment. We can talk for hours about nothing and have the perfect balance of going out and staying in. Logan is always up for an adventure, we traveled to Budapest, Prague, and Cork not long after we started dating. He decided I take 'trips' instead of 'vacations', and he will always be my favorite travel partner. I cannot wait for Logan to be my partner in every aspect of life. I know that having Logan by my side will make my life far better than it could have been otherwise.

The Proposal

I wanted to both completely wow and surprise her! I recalled from one of our long "what if' discussions, that she once said she would want a photographer. I knew that she loved acapella, and I KNEW that Christina Perry's "Be My Forever" would be OUR Song. I procured the talent of two of A&M's HardChord DynaMix acapella group singers, hired the photographer who did some pictures for us previously, and met with the operator of the Salsa Dance Event, Chris, and asked for his help. To reduce suspicions, Chris posted to the Facebook event that they would be having a photographer to take pictures of the event and people should dress up. We arrived, dressed nicely, and had a great time dancing. As the Salsa lesson neared the end, we had been separated and changing partners. Chris came up to the stage to announce they had a special treat, two singers from A&M's very own acapella group HardChord DynaMix would sing a song for them. I started to sneak around the group back to Sandra, She was smiling and pointing at the stage trying to tell me, "Hey Look! It's that acapella group!". With the Element of Surprise still on my side, I waited for them to start singing OUR song, and pulled her out to the dance floor. She looked surprised, "What are we doing!?", I replied with, "you know!" and grinned at her. After declaring my love for her, I went to one knee, and before I could actually ask her the question, she started nodding her head rapidly. I stood and the whole room cheered. When we were able to make it away from the crowd, she made me ask her again, because she couldn't hear anything in the room…..
