We're getting Married!

In March of 2021, Luke and Leah met through a mutual friend while Leah was a sophomore in high school and Luke was a senior. Like many modern love stories, it started with Snapchat. Simple conversations that quickly turned into something neither of them expected. It didn’t take long before they were spending as much time together as they could, making the most of every day leading up to Luke’s summer in Alaska. What started as something casual quickly began to feel like something more. As prom approached, Luke asked Leah to go with him, and the two shared their first official public date. Even after that, their relationship wasn’t quite defined, but everything changed on May 27, 2021, the night before Luke left for Alaska. Not wanting to walk away from something that felt so right, Leah made it clear she was willing to make it work, no matter the distance. From that moment on, they chose each other. What followed was a relationship built across miles. From Alaska to St. Paul to Alexandria, and everywhere in between, Luke was often on the move, while Leah finished high school and began her college journey. Through every season of life, they stayed committed, learning how to love each other through distance, time apart, and countless late-night FaceTime calls. What could have made them grow apart only brought them closer. Through every goodbye, every visit, and every mile in between, Luke and Leah continued choosing each other proving that distance truly does make the heart grow fonder.
