Due to COVID-19, will you be postponing your wedding ceremony and/or reception?

Answer

We have made the difficult decision to postpone our wedding ceremony until August 1, 2020. The wedding reception has been postponed until 2021.

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be held at Saint Thomas More Parish, located at 4170 N Amber Dr, Brooklyn, OH 44144.

Answer

The reception will be held at the Westin Hotel in Downtown Cleveland, located at 777 St Clair Ave NE, Cleveland, OH 44114.

Are children welcome to attend?

Answer

In order to allow guests, including parents, an evening of relaxation we have chosen for our reception to be an adult only occasion. Children are welcome at the ceremony. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share our big day with us!

How far is the ceremony from the hotel/reception?

Answer

According to Google, it is a 15 minute drive from the Westin Hotel to Saint Thomas More Parish. For out-of-towners, Lyft and Uber will be very easy and accessible for transportation use.

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear cocktail dresses, and the gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat.

What will the weather be like this time of year?

Answer

Well, it's Cleveland so anything goes. But, typically this time of year should be between 80 and 90 degrees.

What happens after the ceremony?

Answer

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking photographs for a few hours. Therefore, we recommend to head towards the reception venue in downtown Cleveland and enjoy everything that downtown Cleveland has to offer. Nearby the reception venue you can grab some food and drink (but not too much) at any of the bars on East Fourth, or take in the sites at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Tower City, or Public Square to name a few.

What should I do if I cannot make it?

Answer

First, reconsider the other event/conflict you have. If you still cannot make it after that, then certainly you will be missed! If you can not make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony? At the reception?

Answer

We recommend that you arrive 30-45 minutes before the start of the ceremony, to make sure everyone is on time and we can get the celebration started as scheduled. For the reception, cocktail hour will begin at 6pm so we hope to see you promptly at that time to get the party started!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

Answer

Parking at Saint Thomas More Parish is free and plentiful. If you plan to drive to the reception, there will be free self-parking in the parking garage located on East 6th (and not the garage on St. Clair). The free paying garage is connected to the Westin Hotel. Valet parking will also be available at the Westin and it will be the responsibility of the guest to pay for valet.

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

Answer

Yes! We have reserved a hotel block at the Westin Hotel located in downtown Cleveland. Please copy and paste this link: https://www.marriott.com/events/start.mi?id=1587151168101&key=GRP to reserve. Or, call (216) 771-7700 and request the room block for the LoBue - O'Donnell wedding. The special group rate is $139 per room per night (prior to fees and taxes) and reservations must be made prior to May 1st. The Westin is also a Marriott property for those interested in using their points.

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Answer

Please RSVP by July 6 so that we may make all final accommodations and planning. Online RSVPs only.

Where are you registered?

Answer

We have registered through Zola and Bed, Bath and Beyond! You can find the link in the main menu. The great thing about Zola is that it connects to many other registry websites, so you can still purchase from your favorite retailers!

Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided to/from the hotel and parish. Please plan accordingly.

Are there events on Friday night?

Answer

Yes! After the rehearsal dinner, we invite you to join us at Forest City Brewery located at 2135 Columbus Road | Cleveland, OH 44113 starting at 8 p.m. for an evening of socializing. There will be a cash bar and street parking is available.

Question

Is it okay to take pictures with our phones and cameras during the wedding?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will be "unplugged" which is a fancy way of asking that all guests keep their phones silenced and away while we're saying "I do!" We have hired a wonderful photographer to capture all these moments for us and we promise to share them with you! During the reception you may take all the photos you like! When sharing to social media, please use the hashtag "#lodonnell" so we can find all the photos after the wedding.
