After our engagement, we received a card from Nikki (Angela's sister) that said, "I like to think that it was written in the stars for you both! É scritto tra le stelle!" We think this phrase fits us perfectly, since our story began years ago but our lives brought us to where we are today.

Officially, we met in high school. Angela went to Padua High School with Tom's twin sister Tara. Tom went to Saint Ignatius High School. Angela mostly remembers "Tommy" as being the reason she and Tara went to Ignatius games though we never hung out together during the games. Fast forward to 2008, Angela was attending Mount Union College and Tom was at Boston College. During their junior years, both Angela and Tom embarked on an adventure and studied abroad in Italy - Angela in Viterbo and Tom in Parma. Thanks to Facebook, we will always have memories of our attempts to meet up in Italy, even though each attempt was unsuccessful.

Tom took up residence in Boston after college and Angela moved back to Cleveland and eventually started working at Tom's Alma Mater, Saint Ignatius High School. In October 2017, Angela was traveling to Boston with Saint Ignatius to host an alumni event. Tom attended the event that evening. We spent a lot of time talking that night and Tom mentioned he would be coming back to Cleveland for Thanksgiving and we should get together.

A man of his word, Tom reached out and we arranged a night out on November 25. We went to Edison's for pizza, and Angela thought the night would be over after that and they would go their separate ways. But we were both enjoying our time so much that we extended the night, staying out until 1:30 a.m. Then Tom walked to his car and Angela walked to her apartment unsure if what we were leaving was a date or not. Shortly after, Tom texted saying he should have walked Angela to her door, which finally led her to correctly think this was a date - our first date. Not a day has gone by where we haven't spoken since that day.

September 29, 2019 was just an ordinary day, until it wasn't. On our way back from a festival in Ohio City, Tom led Angela on a long(er) walk home as he had his "walking shoes" on. When they arrived at the Cleveland script sign on Abbey Road, Tom stopped Angela, embraced her, and said, "I love what we’re doing and want to do it forever with you. Will you marry me?" Before Tom could fully get on one knee, Angela exclaimed YES and sealed the proposal with a kiss! What she didn't know was Tom had asked his coworker to photograph the entire moment, hence the images on our website. Following the proposal, our families came together for a surprise engagement party that Tom had planned. We couldn't have dreamed of a more perfect day.
