Flights

There are a number of flight options for getting to Charlottesville: 1. Charlottesville Airport- the closest to the venue, most convenient, and where I would recommend starting your search for flights. This airport is 20 mins from downtown, and about 30 mins from the venue. 2. Richmond Airport- about 1 hour from Charlottesville and 1.5 hours from the venue. Prices are sometimes cheaper than Charlottesville, but not always. Southwest does fly into this airport (unlike Charlottesville) 3. DC Airports- there are a few airports in the DC area (Dulles and Reagan) that you could fly into. Both around 2.5 hours from Charlottesville. This may be your cheapest flight in, but also a further drive.

-TO THE WEDDING- See shuttle details below -UBER FROM THE AIRPORT- If you are flying into Charlottesville you can Uber from the airport to your hotel at the very reasonable cost - RENTAL CARS- will give you the freedom to come and go during the day on Friday or Saturday and explore Charlottesville or the Blue Ridge Mountains a little more. - If you are flying in from Richmond or DC you will definitely need to get a rental car to get to Charlottesville. - Of course there will be shuttle transportation to and from the wedding on Saturday from the Graduate hotel as well (see Wedding Day Shuttle for more details). - FREE DOWNTOWN TROLLEY- Charlottesville is lucky enough to have a trolley that goes to and from many popular Charlottesville locations, there will be more details on the trolley schedule provided when you arrive at your hotel - PARKING- There is plenty of space for parking if you are driving to The Market at Grelen on Friday

By clicking "View" you will be directed to our booking link for this hotel. We currently have 20 rooms blocked at the Graduate, it is also where the majority of the wedding party will be staying. The welcome party will be hosted at the hotel and there will be shuttle transportation from the Graduate to the wedding venue and back.

Courtyard by Marriott

By clicking "View" you will be directed to our booking link for the Courtyard Marriott hotel. This hotel is in walking distance to The Graduate Hotel as well as the downtown mall and the main campus of the University of Virginia. We have blocked 20 rooms at this hotel. There will be a shuttle going from The Graduate to the wedding venue on Saturday that anyone is welcome to take up to the venue and back.

October 29, 2021 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm

We will have two shuttles leaving from The Graduate Hotel at 3:00pm to head to the wedding venue, any guest wishing to get from downtown Charlottesville to The Market at Grelen can get a ride. The shuttles will leave The Market at Grelen and head back to the hotel around 11:00pm.

Other Hotels: There are a number of other hotels in the downtown Charlottesville area, some of our other favorites include: - Quirk Hotel - The Draftsman - The Omni - Residence Inn by Marriot Airbnb or VRBO: - Another option is to look into AirBnb or VRBO in the mountains near the wedding venue. If this is something that interests you, use the address of The Market at Grelen to begin your search, keep in mind it will be peak fall colors, so I would act sooner rather than later.
