Our Love Story
We met playing pick up soccer in DC during covid. Group hangouts and backyard meet ups transitioned to dates and weekend backpacking trips together:)
It all became official when Liz bought a pair of matching hiking sandals for them both and said "you can refer to me as your girlfriend now." Those "relationship shoes" are holding up quite well for the 5 years of use!
Liz started travel nursing August 2022 which meant some periods of challenging long distance. We made it work for a few assignments but knew that the goal was to travel together. Nick made it happen and the week of Thanksgiving 2024 we left for our first travel assignment together, Missoula, MT. Oh, what an amazing 9 months:) Nick proposed in our backyard garden the week before we moved back East and the rest is history. Hopefully something along the lines of they lived out their days happily ever after<3
