Emily and Liz met during their time at Saint Louis University. While they ran into each other a couple times throughout the years, they didn't connect until they took an English class together during the second semester of their senior year.

We spent the day of our engagement doing our favorite things. Emily planned the morning, which began with breakfast at The Mud House. We then took a trip down memory lane, passing some of our favorite date spots and the places on SLU's campus where we fell in love. We ended our reminiscing at what was once Cafe Ventana (now Diablito's), where Emily gave Liz a crossword to complete. The starred answers to the crossword combined to say: "Liz, will you marry me?" Liz planned the afternoon. We biked down to the Arch and then to Tower Grove Park, which is our favorite place in the city. Liz had some sneaky friends (thanks, Maria and Sean!) set out a picnic for us, where we sat and reflected on our favorite memories together. That evening, we gathered with a small group of family and friends to celebrate!
