Originally opened in 1948, the Lyric Theatre was a thriving cultural centerpiece for Lexington's African American families hosting movies, fashion shows and big name acts like Count Basie and Ray Charles. Renovated and expanded, the facility hosts a robust schedule of performances, films and exhibits in its theater, museum, gallery and multi-purpose room.

Located 7 miles south of Lexington at exit 97 off I-75, Deer Run's 100 acres are nestled right in the heart of Daniel Boone Country, with 7 miles of trails and 2 outdoor riding arenas, as well as a 12,000 square foot indoor facility.
The largest restored Shaker community, with 3,000 acres of farmland and 34 restored 19th-century buildings. Shaker Village hosts a wide variety of hands-on classes, music performances and special events and has 33 miles of trails for hiking and horseback riding. Dining is available. Kentucky River excursions aboard the paddle wheeler Dixie Belle are given from April through October.
Woodford Reserve is the only facility in the state making bourbon using the original Scottish 'pot still' method. This historic distillery has been restored with visitors in mind, and offers exhibits on the history and heritage of bourbon, tours of the facility, lunch on the porch from a Ouita Michel restaurant and a gift shop featuring Kentucky crafts and other premium gift items.
