We Eloped, Now We Celebrate!

FAQs

The Wedding Website of Liz Vincelli and Bob McCarty
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

You can RSVP anytime but please RSVP by May 1st.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We do not have any items on our list but we are registered for experiences. We understand that traveling for weddings can be expensive so please do not feel pressed to add to our experiences if you are unable to.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

This will be a child-free wedding, since there will be beer and wine at our wedding. We understand this means some may not be able to attend and we fully understand that. Weddings are expensive and at this time we are not able to pay for families to have their children in attendance for meals as well as keeping the guest list small to accommodate The Pavilion limits on guests attendance.

Question

I’m sick, is it ok to come?

Answer

We ask that anyone that is sick or testing positive for illness please refrain from attending. We will have people in attendance that are immune compromised and could become very ill if they become sick. If you were exposed to Covid we ask that you please remain home to keep others safe. If you are no longer contagious and recovered from an illness we would love to have you at our special day.

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Not at all! :) You wear whatever you feel happiest in, gorgeous in, comfortable in. We do ask no white dresses or fully white outfits. The Bride recommends that you pick something a bit more breathable for an outdoor event or something you can eat tacos and play yard games in.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We have a hotel block for any out of town friends and family. A link has been added to the travel tab and this hotel will be the Hampton Inn Nicholasville Brannon Crossing as this is fairly close to Talon Winery. You do not need to book at this hotel and are more than welcome to book where it makes most sense to you and your budget.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking at Talon and the property is mostly assessable. We will be renting a golf cart to help transport people to and from the ceremony location if you are needing assistance up and down the hill.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will not be transportation coordinated but Talon states that Uber and Lyft can pick up people easily there. I recommend carpooling if possible to have a safe DD.

Question

Why isn’t my name showing on the RSVP list?

Answer

If you were sent a Save the Date or Formal Invitation but your name is not showing when RSVPing, please reach out to the Bride.

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Please do not arrive more than 30 minutes before the ceremony start time. We all know the Bride will be "fashionably" late. If you are given a role or task to complete the time to arrive will be coordinated prior to the day.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please make sure to inform the Bride if there is not a section for dietary restrictions on the RSVP page. The Bride will make the RSVP page available once the timeline is set.

Question

Do I need anything for the reception?

Answer

The Bride wants to make the reception as accessible for everyone as possible. The reception will be held at the pavilion. There will be yard games for those who are interested in some friendly competition, food, and music. We will not be having a DJ so there is no pressure to dance either from wanting to talk to loved ones or mobility restrictions. The Bride recommends bringing a battery operated fan of some sort in case you are not able to maneuver a hand fan for longer periods of time. The walk to the parking lot from the Pavilion is very accessible but in the event that you need extra assistance there will be a golf cart in case you are worried about fall risks. The most important thing is to have fun!
