Travel to the top or walk beneath it and explore Seattle Center. Visit the Science Center, Chihuly Gardens, MoPop or lounge outside and the sculptures on display.
Visit this museum after you've strolled around City Center and gazed up at the Space Needle (or after your ride to the top)
Worth the photo op. Other nearby notables: the oldest Starbucks, the Olympic Sculpture Garden, Seattle Art Museum and the Seattle Great Wheel for city/Sound views.
Seattle is best known for being the birthplace of grunge. Grab your plaid and Doc Martins and catch a walking tour of all the iconic grunge spots.
Go for a hike within the city! This park has trails that lead to a beach with views of the Olympic Mountains.
Grab a picnic and catch the sunset at popular Golden Gardens. Grab cuban sandwiches to go from nearby Un Bien. If Golden Gardens is too busy, Carkeek Park is one of our favorites as well as Alki Beach in West Seattle.
Get an aerial view of the city and surrounding mountains and experience the thrill of take off and landing on Lake Union
Take a ferry ride to nearby islands - Bainbridge and Vashon are two favorites.
If the National Air and Space isn't in your backyard, this museum is worth a visit to learn about the history of aviation next to Boeing field. Or, take your aviation enthusiasm a step further and visit the Boeing factory and tour their production line. This will require a rental car since it's an hour outside the city in Everett, but watching a 777 get built is pretty awesome.
Washington has some of the best wines in the world and Woodinville, a Seattle suburb, is home to more than 150 tasting rooms and breweries. You'll need a rental car to get here, or grab some other wedding attendees to split the Lyft.
The Washington Trails Association has a really great website and app to help you find the perfect trail. Just select from drop down menus to narrow your search by distance, elevation, regions, trail feature, kid-friendliness and check out the results. We also recommend reading the trip reports for recent trail conditions.
Get a taste for the Cascades only 30 min outside the city. This is.a moderate hike with a trailhead near Rattlesnake Lake, a great spot for a swim.
