Maid of Honor
Megan has known Lisa her whole life. As Lisa’s older sister and unofficial twin, Megan and Lisa have celebrated life’s joys and navigated its challenges together. As long as she can remember, Lisa saw Meg as her role model, and of course wanted to be just like her (as any little sis does). They wore similar clothes, had similar interests, and shared similar goals in life. Once Megan got her doctorate, that’s where Lisa had to draw the line!
Best Man
While growing up in a military family, Thomas served as an amazing older brother, role model, and best friend to Alex through various moves, road trips, and adventures. Even though they have grown up and now live on separate continents, Thomas and Alex still keep in close touch with frequent visits and travel, and maintained similar tastes in sports, music, and video games (so maybe they haven’t grown up too much).
Bridesmaid
Melissa and Lisa have been BFFs since kindergarten. They grew up together, with countless sleepovers, *NSYNC and Backstreet Boys karaoke, ab competitions, and embarrassing middle school styles, their friendship continued to grow stronger. Melissa and Lisa have traveled the world together, including camping across New Zealand and backpacking through Thailand, Vietnam, and Patagonia. Their shared love of the outdoors and travel make any time together a treasured adventure.
Groomsman
Pete and Alex first met in Kingsville, TX while flying the mighty T-45 trainer in Basic and Advanced Training. They then became roommates in Virginia Beach where they bonded over the trials and tribulations of learning to fly the F-18 during Flight Readiness Squadron training. Although the Navy decided to break up the dream team and send them to different coasts for their fleet squadrons, they remained good friends and both ended up back in Fallon, NV for their shore tours.
Bridesmaid
Kelly and Lisa first met in Philosophy class in college, and later became sorority sisters and roommates. Kelly and Lisa would sing in the car together at full volume and give their friends unofficial (and often unwanted) serenades.
Groomsman
Tyler and Alex became good friends while starting the flight school process. They were roommates in Milton and Perdido Key, FL where they lived in a beach house that was way too nice for their first house after college. They bonded over brewing beer, learning how to cook, and diagraming fuel systems and have stayed close ever since.
Bridesmaid
Stephanie and Lisa met in college at some sorority event that Lisa no longer remembers. They hit it off and have been friends ever since. Stephanie, Lisa, and Megan T all ran the Nike Women’s Half Marathon together in San Francisco, training for an entire summer in our college town of San Luis Obispo, CA.
Groomsman
Christian and Alex were neighbors in Kingsville, TX and became close friends through frequent trips to Houston and Austin together (because there is absolutely nothing to do in Kingsville). After their sea tours, they have reunited in Fallon for their shore tour at STRIKE. One of Christian’s favorite things to do is cook for other people and one of Alex’s favorite things to do is eat, so it is no surprise that they have stayed very close through group dinners, game nights, and other Fallon fun.
Bridesmaid
Megan and Lisa also met at some sorority event that has been lost in Lisa’s long term storage. They have so many shared memories in college together, and many more memories exploring the Bay Area when Megan and Stephanie lived there together post college.
Groomsman
Andrew and Alex showed up to their first fleet squadron at the same time and became fast friends while going through the “New Guy” process together. They have been roommates and friends through detachments and deployments with the Black Knights and have solved many of the world’s problems on a golf course together.
Bridesmaid
Christina was one of Lisa’s first friends in college. They met during Cal Poly’s orientation week just before starting freshman year. Christina and Lisa lived in the same dorms, both studied business, and both were Cal Poly Ambassadors. If that wasn’t enough to make them inseparable, they also became sorority sisters and roommates. Christina and Lisa have always shared a love for healthy, creative food.
Groomsman
Austin and Alex first met in Fallon, NV through work but became fast friends through joint suffering at the local gym. They bonded over similar hobbies (ask him about his coffee roasting business) and also tried to figure out what life outside the Navy might look like on a golf course or two.
Officiant
Jayson is Lisa’s brother-in-law, but she really saw him as a brother long before he and Megan made it official. Jayson, Megan, and Lisa all met in high school, and he and Megan got married in 2021. Lisa and Alex are so honored and excited for Jayson to be their officiant!
