Old Mission Santa Barbara
Built in 1786, The Queen of the Missions overlooks a rose garden and has views of the harbor in the distance. Museum offers guided and self-guided tours.
Stearns Wharf
Completed in 1872, it became the longest deep-water wharf between San Pedro and San Francisco. Sterns Wharf is home to restaurants, souvenir shops, and ice cream.
The Funk Zone
The Funk Zone is a Santa Barbara arts, culture, business, and industrial district located close to downtown and the ocean. Grab drinks from local breweries, wineries, and cocktail bars!
Santa Barbara Courthouse
The Courthouse has been called the most beautiful government building in America. Climb up (or elevator up!) the “El Mirador” clock tower for a beautiful view of the city.
Land Shark
Climb aboard for a 90-minute land/amphibious tour of downtown, the harbor, and wharf. Guides give a great overview of Santa Barbara history and fun spots around town.
Kayaking - Double Dolphin
Book a kayak and head out to the Sandspit in the Santa Barbara Harbor, circle the sea lions sunbathing on the buoys, or check out the famous Santa Barbara Wharf. Choose from group tours, private guided tours, or head out on your own.
Inspiration Point Hike
Inspiration Point attracts hikers with panoramic views over city and sea. Connect Tunnel Trail with the east end of Jesusita Trail for a 3.75-mile round trip hike with 825 feet of elevation change.
Shoreline Park
One of Santa Barbara’s most popular parks overlooking the beach and harbor. Follow the walking paths from the park to the pier with views of the Channel Islands.
Butterfly Beach
The beach’s pristine shoreline is ideal for swimming, surfing, and sunbathing, and its unique east-west orientation makes for some truly spectacular sunrises AND sunsets.
East Beach
East Beach stretches from Stearns Wharf to the left (East) directly across from the Hilton Beachfront. It offers picnic facilities, more than a dozen volleyball courts, a playground, and beautiful ocean views.
Douglas Family Preserve
Walk around the Preserve, located on the mesa above Arroyo Burro Beach. The property spans 70 acres of undeveloped ocean-front land, and represents the largest area of coastal open space within city limits.
