Towneplace Suites by Marriott Brooklyn

We have a wedding block of rooms booked at the Towneplace Suites, which is located in Park Slope. We encourage you to spend time in the area, one of the most delightful neighborhoods in Brooklyn. (See the "Things To Do" page for some of our favorites!) If you use the button below, you will be taken to the booking for our group. If you call the hotel to book, please let them know you are in the group for Lisa Tannenbaum and Stephanie Teesdale's wedding so that you get our group rate! However, the number of rooms in the block are limited so we recommend you book early.

Flight

JFK Airport

If you are flying into JFK, we recommend either getting a rideshare/cab to Brooklyn (about 45 minutes), or taking the AirTran to the Jamaica station. From Jamaica you can get a rideshare, or get on a LIRR train to Atlantic Avenue, where you can transfer to other subway lines that lead both to the hotel and to Prospect Park.

Train

Penn Station

Amtrak trains to and from Moynihan Train Hall in Penn Station are a great travel option! From Penn Station in Manhattan, there are multiple subway routes to Brooklyn. Taking the LIRR train to Atlantic Avenue is also an option. From Atlantic Avenue, there are options to transfer to other subway lines that lead both to the hotel and to Prospect Park. If you are staying at the Towneplace Suites, the most direct subway route is going to be taking the A train to Jay St-MetroTech and transferring to the N train. If you get off at Union Street you will be about a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

Travel Note

Driving

In general, we don't recommend driving into the city unless necessary; traffic is unpredictable but usually heavy. The Towneplace Suites has garage parking, but trying to find street parking elsewhere in Brooklyn (especially around Prospect Park and the wedding venue) is usually very difficult. Keep that in mind when making travel plans!

Arrival at the Event

On Saturday, we advise guests to travel to the event via subway, Uber/rideshare, or via our provided transportation from the hotels. We do not recommend trying to park as parking may not be available near the venue. **Please use the map at the top of this page to help you find the Boathouse in Prospect Park for the event.** The nearest subway stop to the Boathouse is the Prospect Park stop. From there, enter the park and use GPS and/or follow the signs in the Park for the Boathouse to reach the event space!
