The town of Grand Lake has a gorgeous lake side with lots of shops and restaurants. We like grabbing an ice cream cone and walking along the lakeside, grabbing a drink at Charlie’s, or taking an easy hike up Adams Falls.
Grand Lake is just minutes away from the western entrance of Rocky Mountain National Park! The west side of the park was ravaged by the East Troublesome Fire in 2020, so be prepared for a massive burn scar. You may want to head further into the park for better hiking. With a summit of over 12,000 feet, Trail Ridge Road is a beautiful if not nail-biting route back to Fort Collins if you are looking for a hike on the east side of the park. Beware, you may need to get a timed entry pass to visit Rocky Mountain National Park.
Iconic beers and a great spot to hang out!
Great vibes and cocktails, consider a pretzel or a cheeseboard.
