For our Rhode Island Beach bums!!! October is definitely still beach weather here in San Diego. Bring your bathing suits, you can enjoy some fun in the sun on one of the top 10 beaches in the world!
Old Town is a fun little area that's known for it's great Mexican food and history. It's about 15 minutes from Coronado
Even if you're not staying there it's still a great destination. Walk the beach, or sit and have drinks on one of their many sun decks. It's filled with history and a must see!
It takes about 45 mins to get to the wild animal park but you do get to see the animals roam more freely than the zoo.
There's a ton of great restaurants and a very festive atmosphere in Little Italy. Fun to walk around and enjoy some great food and drinks. If you're an ice cream fan don't miss "Salt and Straw" - but be aware the line is often very long!
Coronado is a much quieter town than the rest of San Diego. It's why we love it. But for that "typical California beach boardwalk feel", girls on roller blades and some good "people watching". Pacific beach boardwalk is where to find it! Rent bikes or scooters, and explore the beach and boardwalk along with your beachside rollercoaster in all it's glory!
