In the spring of 2017, Lindsay found herself among familiar faces at the National Business Education Association (NBEA) Conference in Chicago. Representing Pi Omega Pi—Bloomsburg University’s honor society, where she served as President—she spent the day learning, presenting, and networking with former professors and classmates from Bloomsburg University and other Business Educators nationwide. That evening, over slices of deep-dish pizza in a bustling Chicago pizzeria, her advisor, professor, and longtime mentor, Dr. Maggie O’Connor, made a playful promise: she’d help Lindsay find not just a job, but maybe even a husband after graduation. As the night wrapped up, Maggie kept her word in her own way—sending a quick text to her son, Kyle, suggesting he reach out. Shortly after, Lindsay followed him on social media, and before long, the two began exchanging messages. But it wasn’t until a chance meeting over a year later, in the familiar, crazy college setting of West End—their old college-town bar—that something truly clicked. The late summer of 2018 marked the beginning of something special. Soon, Kyle and Lindsay were inseparable, building a life around shared laughter, adventure, and their growing fur family. Kyle stepped effortlessly into the role of dog dad to Lindsay’s pup, Daisy, and not long after, they welcomed Bailey into their lives—another wagging tail to keep Daisy occupied. As their graduations loomed and life’s next chapter approached, they took a leap of faith. Together, they purchased Lindsay’s late Nanny and Poppy’s house in Hummelstown, PA—a place filled with memories, love, and legacy. Since then, they’ve poured their hearts into making it their own, blending the past with their future, one project (and paw print) at a time. Now, surrounded by the people and places that brought them together, they can’t wait to celebrate the beginning of their forever—with all of you by their side.
