FAQs

Question

Can I bring my child/ children?

Answer

No. While we love your little ones, our wedding is an adults-only event. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time!

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is black-tie optional. Men have the option of wearing a tuxedo or formal dark suit and tie. Women may wear a floor-length gown, fancy cocktail dress or dressy pant suit.

Question

What should I do between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Feel free to walk around The Green next to the church, take photos, use this time to freshen up, do an outfit change, or enjoy any of the fun things to do in Charlotte! Please do not arrive early to the reception site as the vendors will still be setting up.

Question

Will transportation be provided?

Answer

Yes, there will be a complimentary shuttle for all guests from both hotel blocks to the reception at The Ruth, then back at the end of the night. Please see the Travel tab on our website for more information. Transportation to the church ceremony is not provided.

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

We have reserved two hotel blocks in Uptown Charlotte. Please see the Travel tab for more information on that! There are many other hotel options in the area, as well as Airbnbs.

Question

Is there parking?

Answer

Yes, free parking for St. Peter Catholic Church is located in “The Green” parking deck. This is a below ground deck which can be accessed via South Tryon Street (immediately next to the church entrance), or South College Street. St. Peter’s parking is on the Level P2 blue section. There are two elevators which will take you to the street level/The Green Park. Parishioners and guests may validate their ticket for any church event or visit. Parking is validated in "The Green" parking deck for the wedding ceremony. Write your NAME and ST. PETER'S on the parking ticket that you received upon arrival into the parking deck. For the reception, there is a parking lot located outside of The Ruth. You are allowed to leave cars overnight in the lot, if needed.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 2:00pm. Please arrive and take your seat no later than 1:40pm. We are at maximum capacity in our church, so please plan to utilize the entire pew. We're packing the church!
