Erica Horrigan (bridesmaid) is a friend of Lindsay's from Wilmington. She knew Garrett at UNC Chapel Hill, but it wasn't until they were back for their Homecoming game in 2018 that she got the idea to set them up. She told Garrett all about Lindsay, and he quickly seized his opportunity to ask her on a date. Lindsay agreed, and they went to Legion Brewing. On the morning of the date, Garrett lost his wallet...so he showed up with a bag of cash and his passport. Luckily, Lindsay didn't run out on him, and the two connected immediately. They had the best time, and one quick drink turned into their own personal Plaza Midwood bar crawl. They have been together ever since and still laugh at the fun memories from that night.
