Lindsay and Chris’s story began on June 16, 2023, at a coffee and chocolate shop in Mystic, CT. Their connection was immediate. Lindsay was struck by how sweet and genuine Chris was, and his smile was just as nice! Chris, in turn, was impressed by her kind and playful nature and quickly found himself lost in her beautiful eyes. Initially, they bonded over their many shared interests in TV shows, movies, music, and of course, food and travel. As their relationship grew, they discovered a deeper foundation rooted in shared ideals and life goals. Their bond only grew stronger, and by the end of every date, they were looking for an excuse to spend more time together. They continued to meet in Mystic for almost all of their early relationship, enjoying restaurants and long walks along the Mystic River. It didn’t take long for them to realize they were a perfect match and that they had found "the one." The next logical step was to introduce each other to their families. Both Chris and Lindsay’s families quickly grew fond of their child's partner. Lindsay’s parents, Antonio and Ofelia, loved that Chris was thoughtful, reliable, and kind, and that he was always open to their culture and traditions. Chris even made it a habit to share dinner with Lindsay's parents and sister when Lindsay was working her weekly night shift. Similarly, Chris’s parents, Mark and Adriana, loved how strong, funny, and endearing Lindsay was. Most importantly, both sets of parents saw how happy their children were together. Their relationship deepened when Chris traveled to Portugal with Lindsay and her family. He fell in love with the country and culture, and he quickly became more deeply integrated into Lindsay’s family. Their time together in Portugal solidified their desire to commit their lives to each other. Upon their return, they continued to celebrate each milestone of their relationship in Mystic, even after moving away from the shore. This commitment to their special place culminated in Chris’s romantic proposal to Lindsay in Mystic after a delicious dinner at their favorite restaurant. Ever since, they have been overjoyed to celebrate their love and commitment to each other with their friends and family!
