The Ridge Resort is closest to South Lake Tahoe. This is a very touristy spot of Lake Tahoe (lots of shops and restaurants), so I recommend driving up the scenic route along the lake and go to King's Beach, also a tourist area, but has a laid back vibe. You'll take Route 50 to Route 28.
