Lindsay and Arnaud were introduced by a mutual friend. This friend told Lindsay about a guy who was mature, respectful, and a total gentleman. She said he was genuine and kind-hearted. Arnaud heard about a fun-loving, outgoing girl that he just had to meet. Their first date was in Pacific Beach where Lindsay rode up on a scooter to meet Arnaud at his apartment. They walked the boardwalk a little bit, just talking and getting to know one another, then shortly after enjoyed dinner watching the sunset. It was an incredibly fun first date and they connected right away. For the next few weeks, Arnaud and Lindsay continued to hang out, go on dates, and spend more time together. Unfortunately, this is where their story seemed to end. They went their separate ways and both of them moved on. July 27, 2020 Over a year later Arnaud reached out to Lindsay to see if they still had the same connection from their first date. For their second first date, as Lindsay likes to call it, Arnaud recreated the first time they met with a walk on the boardwalk and a sunset dinner. From the moment they met up, that instant connection was there. It felt like they were able to just fall right back into the flow of where they left off. A couple of days after Lindsay earned her private pilot license, she had the opportunity to work a flight to Paris, France. Arnaud had the days off work already, so it was an easy choice to invite him to join on a 24-hour layover. Arnaud's parents were even planning on being in Paris that day, so it was a perfect opportunity to celebrate Lindsay getting her pilot certificate. Arnaud knew it was also the perfect opportunity to propose. That day he followed Lindsay around with a ring in his pocket, and she honestly had no clue what was about to happen. After lunch, they walked to the Eiffel Tower where surprisingly there was an open area without a bunch of people. As Arnaud's parents and Lindsay's friends were taking pictures of them, Arnaud says “Let’s take a video!” This completely confused Lindsay because it is not something he would normally say to do. Little did she know, this was his cue that he was about to propose. He pulled the ring out of his pocket and got down on one knee. Arnaud asked Lindsay, “Would you like to marry me babe?” Lindsay screamed in shock and was completely caught off guard. She immediately started crying and shaking; she couldn’t even say yes since she was in such disbelief, so instead she just frantically nodded her head. It truly was the perfect proposal. 25 Juillet 2022 Quelques jours après que Lindsay ait obtenu sa licence de pilote privé, elle a eu l'opportunité de travailler sur un vol vers Paris. Lindsay n'avait honnêtement aucune idée de ce qui allait se passer.Arnaud gardait précieusement la bague dans sa poche. Et après le déjeuner, ils se sont dirigés vers la Tour Eiffel où, étonnamment, il y avait un espace libre sans personne. Alors que les parents d'Arnaud et les amies de Lindsay prenaient des photos d'eux, Arnaud dit "Prenons une vidéo!" Lindsay était surprise car ce n'est pas quelque chose qu'il dit normalement. Elle ne savait pas que c'était le signal et qu'il était sur le point de faire sa demande. Il sortit la bague de sa poche et se mit à genoux. Arnaud a demandé: "Voulez-vous m'épouser bébé?"
