The main airport in Mexico City is Benito Juárez International Airport (MEX), which we highly recommend flying into for the easiest access to the city and our wedding locations. (15-25 minutes from wedding events)
Connectivity:
While some neighborhoods offer open Wi-Fi, it is not always reliable. We HIGHLY recommend notifying your cellular provider before traveling so you have consistent service for Uber transportation, maps, and language translation.
Transportation: (Safest)
Uber and other rideshare apps are widely available, safe, and very affordable. We strongly recommend using rideshare instead of street taxis for convenience and peace of mind.
Currency:
The local currency is the Mexican peso (MXN). Most places accept cards, but carry some cash. You can exchange money at the airport or banks *please notify your bank before traveling*
Language Tip:
Spanish is the primary language. Many speak some English, but having a translator app handy is highly recommended
