Xochimilco is about 45–60 minutes from Roma Norte by car, depending on traffic. Boat rides on traditional trajineras should be booked in advance, either independently or through a tour company. Many guided options are also available via Airbnb Experiences, often including transportation.
Frida Kahlo Museum (La Casa Azul)
Frida Kahlo Museum is located in the charming neighborhood of Coyoacán, about 25–35 minutes from Roma Norte by car, depending on traffic. The museum is Frida Kahlo’s former home, offering an intimate look into her life, art, and personal world. Coyoacán itself is well worth visiting on its own, with leafy plazas, colorful streets, cafés, and a slower, village-like feel that contrasts beautifully with the rest of the city. Tickets must be purchased in advance, as walk-up entry is not guaranteed and often sells out.
