Question

What island in Hawaii is the venue on? How long is the flight? and how long is the ride to the hotels from the airport?

Answer

Sunset Ranch is located on the island of O'ahu. The airplane ride from Chicago O'Hare (ORD) to Honolulu Airport (HNL) is approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes nonstop. From there it is approximately a 20 minute drive to the hotel accommodations

Question

Do I need any vaccines or Covid 19 swabs prior to traveling?

Answer

Please look under the travel and accommodations tab for further information.

Question

Will there be any Covid Restrictions

Answer

Hawaii has made some changes fairly recently. If you are unvaccinated, you will need to show proof of covid swab prior to getting on the shuttle. Starting September 13th, if you are un vaccinated, you will need a cocid swab 48 hours prior to doing certain events. For our wedding day, Shuttle busses will pick you up from outside of the hotel. Only 14 people per shuttle will be allowed. When you arrive to the Ranch, your temperature will be taken and then you will be welcomed onto the premises. You will need to wear a mask at all times unless seated at your dinner table. Groups must remain less than 4, unless at the tables. Unfortunately there will be no group dancing allowed.

Question

When should i arrive?

Answer

Our room blocks are starting for Wednesday, September 15th through 18th. You can see the Hotel information under the travel and accommodations tab. Please note, we will be having a Welcome Party on Wednesday, September 15th starting promptly at 4pm Hawaii time.

Question

Answer

Answer

Yes, Hawaii has both Uber and Lyft as options for transportation

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Your invitation will indicate the number of guests invited.

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

In order to allow all guests, including parents, a relaxing and fun vacation with celebration, we have chosen for our wedding to be an ADULT ONLY occasion. While we love to watch the children run and play, this is an adults only kind of day. We hope this advance notice means you are still able to share in our big day and will enjoy having some time to recuperate in the sun!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal attire is requested. Sunset Ranch Hawaii is an outdoor event facility kept in its natural state. With that being said, ladies please leave the high heels back in Chicago! Consider wearing flats, wedges, or dress sandals. We want everyone to enjoy the night dancing, roaming the grounds, and just enjoying themselves.

Question

I have a food allergy/vegetarian, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any allergy or are a vegetarian so that we can accommodate accordingly.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

As you are all traveling very far to join us on this next big adventure, we do not expect any gifts. All we want is your company and the memories the day brings. If you still would like to know if we are registered, you can find our registry under the "Registry" tab. You may notice we did not ask for homely gifts as we have been living together in our home for a number of years. We thought donations to our wedding day would be a different way to involve our loved ones on this momentous occasion.

Question

Join our Photo Circle

Answer

There's this cool app called PhotoCircle that you can download onto your phone that allows us all to be able to share each others photos! We can join each other on adventures and see all the amazing things Hawaii has to offer! We will provide you with a QR code upon arrival to the island so that you can scan and start uploading your photos rather than just posting only on social media. Help us capture all the moments of laughter, tears, and shenanigans. Word of caution...Our ceremony will be UNPLUGGED so that everyone will be present. We want to see your faces as we make the unbreakable vow.
