Recovery Day at the Cenotes

12:00 pm - 5:00 pm

After a long night of dancing, what better to revitalize yourself than a dip in cool water? We invite all guests to join us as they please for a day at Cenote Rancho la Teresa to relax in the sun and swim in the cenotes! The cenotes are water-filled sinkholes naturally formed by the collapse of limestone. Approximately 66 million years ago, the meteor that was responsible for the extermination of the dinosaurs, struck the Yucatán Peninsula and formed the ring of cenotes. Ancient Mayans view the cenotes as sacred, believing them to be gateways to the underworld. So put on your swim suit and join us for a day in the Selva Maya :) Plan to bring a hat, towel, plenty of water, beverages and any snacks you might want to be comfortable for the day. There is no restaurant on the property. In order to protect the cenotes, the use of sunscreen is not allowed while swimming so please keep that in mind.

For all the days along the way
