Things To Do

Visit Nearby Oxford

Oxford, MD 21654

Just 15 minutes from Easton is the charming waterfront town of Oxford, where Lilly’s grandfather, Dick Deerin, lives. Lilly and her family spent many summers here biking through town, exploring the waterfront, and enjoying everything that makes Oxford so special. Lilly, Lucy, Tess, and Grace's Oxford Recommendations: 1. Grab a coffee from the Oxford Social Cafe or (more preferably) an ice cream cone from the Scottish Highland Creamery on S Morris St. Then walk yourself 10 yards over to Town Park, and enjoy your treat from a park bench (or the swings) while you gaze out over the Tred Avon River. 2. Ride the historic Oxford–Bellevue Ferry, one of the oldest privately operated ferries in the country. The scenic crossing of the Tred Avon River takes about 10 minutes and runs every 15–20 minutes throughout the day. 3. Stroll down the tiny public beach (The Strand) and wade in! 4. Enjoy some crabs and orange crushes at a dock bar: Capsize on Tilghman St or Doc's Sunset on Pier St!
