The ceremony will begin promptly at 2:30 pm on Saturday. We recommend arriving 15–30 minutes early to allow time for parking and seating.
The ceremony will take place in St. Michaels, and the reception will follow in Easton at Talbot Country Club. The two towns are about a 15-25 minute drive apart, depending on traffic. There will be approximately one hour between the end of the ceremony and the start of the reception, so guests will have time to travel to Easton or stop by their hotels to freshen up (if desired) before the festivities begin. We kindly ask that guests plan to arrive at the reception venue at the scheduled reception start time, as the venue will not be open to guests immediately following the ceremony.
Guests will need to arrange their own transportation from the ceremony to the reception. Ride share services such as Uber and Lyft are available on the Eastern Shore but can sometimes be limited, especially on busy summer weekends. If you plan to use a ride service, we recommend scheduling your ride in advance.
Yes. Complimentary parking will be available at both venues. Guests may park in the church parking lot for the ceremony and in the parking lot at Talbot Country Club for the reception. Cars may be left overnight at the reception venue if desired.
Yes! Complimentary shuttle buses will take guests from the reception back to the The Tidewater Inn, which is steps away from the unofficial "after-party" bar in downtown Easton. Shuttles will also be able to make stops at the Hampton Inn Easton and Fairfield Inn & Suites Easton.
For anyone who would like to keep the celebration going, we’ll be heading to Doc’s Downtown Grille in downtown Easton after the reception. (NOT to be confused with Doc's Sunset Grille in Oxford, MD). We didn’t reserve the bar, but they kindly offered to stay open a little later than usual in case our group stops by.
Our dress code for the ceremony and reception is Black Tie Preferred. We encourage guests to dress in formal evening attire—tuxedos for men and floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses for women. However, we understand that renting a tuxedo isn’t always practical, especially for some of our younger guests. A dark suit and tie is absolutely welcome if that is more comfortable. On footwear: The reception will take place at a tented outdoor reception with a dance floor, though guests may walk across grass at times while moving between areas of the venue.
If your invitation includes a guest’s name or indicates a plus-one, they are welcome to attend. Otherwise, we kindly ask that only those listed on the invitation join us.
While we love kids, our wedding will be mostly adults-only. A few younger cousins will be joining us, but they are all specifically named on the invitations. We kindly ask that guests only bring those listed on their invitation.
Please fill out and post your RSVP card in the mail by the date listed on your invitation so we can finalize seating and meal counts.
