Can I bring my car onto Shelter Island?

Yes, while the island is only accessible by water, there are 2 ferries which shuttle cars and people back and forth.

While we love ALL of your kiddos- this is an adult-only event, and children attending are limited to family only.

Can I drive my car to the ceremony?

The venue is a home residence with limited parking. Please take advantage of the shuttle we have booked for the day.

Is there a place to get groceries/beverages on the island?

Answer

Yes, there is one large grocery store on island (The Shelter Island IGA) that also sells beer. Please note it closes at 7pm. There are also small markets on the island. As well as Shelter Island Farmers market. Guests can also find a variety of grocery’ stores, and other shopping options like BJs, Target, Walmart, beer distributors and liquor stores in Riverhead on the drive out to shelter island. Riverhead is the last large town before the North fork split. After Riverhead there are farm stands, delis and smaller stores along the way. If you plan to stop in Riverhead make sure you put this on your GPS, as the South fork route will not take you this way.
