They have a pool and will have late-night bonfires perfect for summer evenings <3 We have a room block here that includes a variety of sized rooms -kings, double queens, and 1 suite. The rooms will need to be booked by calling the Hotel at (845) 684-5422 between 10 am - 5 pm. Let them know you are booking a room for our wedding to get our blocked rate. You can also book online if the block is full for the standard/public rate.

The Emerson is nearly across the street from Foxfire Mountain House - a 12-minute walk or a 3-minute drive. they have a good cancellation policy and COVID policy. The resort also offers nature-inspired treatments at an award-winning spa and has a signature restaurant, Woodnotes Grille, The Shops at Emerson, and the World’s Largest Kaleidoscope. Booking opens 6 months in advance (February).

Kingston is super cute and 30 mins from Foxfire. Please contact me or the hotel for the courtesy rate for our wedding. No night minimum and no cancelation fee until 72 hours prior. There is no room block, therefore availability is dependent on hotel capacity. Breakfast is also included for guests.

Travel Note
There are a few ways to get to Mt. Tremper in the Catskills! You can rent/drive a car and enjoy the 2.5 hour drive and beautiful scenery on your own. Or, if you are feeling more adventurous, the Amtrak or Metro-North train are good options to Poughkeepsie and you'll need to order a friendly Lyft or Uber driver once you arrive to the station to finish out the next 45-minutes of your journey. The other option from the train is to reserve a rental car from a service near the train station. If you're driving from NYC (we recommend it so you can explore!), it will take you less than two hours by car to get to Foxfire Mountain House, specifically. Here's how to do it: Hop on the I-87 to the 28 West highway, which merges with the Onteora Trail; turn off onto Mt Pleasant Road then onto Andrew Lane to reach the hotel. NOTE: Foxfire has VERY limited parking onsite, so you’ll need to park elsewhere. But do not worry! We’ll be arranging shuttles and that information will be available soon.

Stewart International Airport (SWF) is the closest to Mt. Tremper at approximately one hour drive. Albany International Airport (ALB) is a one and a half hour drive away.
Flight
New York City area airports may offer more attractive flight options. Newark Liberty International (EWR) in New Jersey is the closest at approx. two hours and fifteen minutes drive to Mt. Tremper, NY. La Guardia International Airport (LGA) in Queens is the second closest at approximately a two and half hour drive, and John F. Kennedy (JFK) in Queens is approximately two hours and forty five minutes away. If not, Stewart International Airport and the Albany Airports are the closest to Mt. Tremper if you're more interested in going directly to the area for the weekend.
Train
Rhinecliff station is a 40-minute drive away from Foxfire, with Amtrak services connecting to New York City
Travel Note
The Trailways Bus can take you from NYC Port Authority to Phoenicia and back again. However, once you arrive in Phoenicia, a car service (i.e. Uber or Lyft) will be needed to transport you to the hotel, venue, etc.
