Alex and Jackie met like every other modern couple in the 21st century... online. However, our first date felt different from any other date we had been on. Sitting in Bryant Park, backdropped by the library and the park, time seemed to pass too quickly. We continued spending time together and realized this was something special. It helped that we both shared a love of music, travel, good food, cocktails, coffee, and boutique hotels. Jackie said 'I love you' first as Alex was leaving her apartment to see his family while they were visiting New York City, of course Celia (Jackie's twin sister) was there to witness the moment. She slipped up and said, "bye, I love you". Alex paused and they both stood there in shock because they both felt it, but it was a bit too soon. Jackie put her hands over her face and told Alex to get out of her apartment. He started to laugh and walk towards the doors. He stumbled and Jackie got up to help him. She opened the door and they kissed goodbye. It has been a roller coaster ever since. They moved into Jackie's west village apartment after a few months dating and then Alex finished medical school the following year. He matched for residency and they moved to Cuyahoga Falls, OH and Jackie complete a nurse practitioner fellowship. The next stop is Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where Alex will start his Fellowship. We do not know what the future holds or where we will end up, but we know we want to spend forever with each other and we want our friends and family to be there to celebrate our love and friendship.
