FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive to the wedding?

Answer

The couple recommends arriving to the ceremony venue between 3PM -3:45PM as the ceremony *promptly* starts at 4:00PM. Transportation information from Shangri-La’s lobby to the ceremony venue will be released closer to the wedding date.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held indoors and the reception will be held outdoors during sunset into the evening.

Question

What attire should I wear?

Answer

Lightweight formal attire that feels comfortable in warm weather! Barong Tagalog and Filipiniana is also an option. The couple kindly asks not to wear white colored outfits.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

No, the couple would like for you to be in the moment with them and they are *strictly* asking to refrain from taking your phone out or taking photos/videos during the ceremony as they have hired photographers and videographers for that.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

The reception dinner will be a buffet with lots of delicious options for all. Please provide any dietary restrictions or allergies you have when you RSVP so that the couple knows!

Question

Are children allowed at the wedding?

Answer

Unless stated on your invitation allowing for your child to come, the couple unfortunately cannot accommodate for additional children due to limited space and amount of food/drinks accounted for. It will be a kid friendly ceremony and dinner reception however later into the night with dancing will be adult only.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless stated on your invitation allowing for a plus one, the couple unfortunately cannot accommodate for a plus one due to limited space and amount of food/drinks accounted for.

Question

What should I expect when I get to the Philippines?

Answer

The Philippines is a beautiful and vibrant country with lots of things to do! The people are very friendly and the primary language in the area is Cebuano (Bisaya). Because the resort sits in an area with lots of tourists, a lot of the locals can speak English. The weather is generally humid and warm and since April is approaching summer, definitely dress for the weather!

Question

How can we contact the couple in the Philippines?

Answer

There is WiFi connection on the resort so you can reach out to Liezl or Jared via Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, and/or Instagram. If you are off the resort property, it would be best to be in a place with public WiFi. The couple plans to buy a SIM card that works in the Philippines to use which may be another option for you if you plan to go off the resort property often. If this is the option you use, please let them know!

Question

Who do I call if I have more questions?

Answer

Contact Jared or Liezl!

For all the days along the way
