It started with Jared stumbling upon Liezl on Hinge sharing a fun fact about how much a polar bear weighs (enough to break the ice). They met for the first time over dinner at the Senate in Blue Ash, Ohio on July 2nd, 2022 where the conversation seemed to flow seamlessly despite the both of them trying to hide how nervous they were. Afterwards, the date consisted of a sunset/moonlight walk where their first kiss happened to be under the fireworks (it was 4th of July weekend), listening to live bands at bars, dominating in pool at the Village Tavern in Montgomery and Jared protecting Liezl while playing when a nearby bar fight spilled out onto the pool table. Since then, they’ve fallen deeper for one another going to a Reds Game where Jared taught Liezl the game of baseball, Liezl taking Jared to overlooks, and late night talks till 3AM. On August 1st, 2022, Jared and Liezl became official! From there, they’ve enjoyed spending time with one another’s friends and families with dinners, game nights, and soccer watch parties at Rhinehaus. As well as on their own going to Xavier University basketball games, date nights around Cincinnati, keeping up with their yearly tradition of going to the Western and Southern Open or to the fateful Senate on their dating anniversary, and much more.
