Flight
This airport is roughly 25 miles south of Como town. Many major airlines fly into Malpensa airport, including American Airlines, Delta, USAir, British Airways, KLM, Scandinavian and many more.
Train
The cheapest option to get to Lake Como would be to take a train from Milan Malpensa Airport to Como San Giovanni. The first train from Milan Malpensa Airport to Como San Giovanni leaves at 00:26. Times and services may vary during weekends and holidays. Please note, there are no direct train services from Milan Malpensa Airport to Como San Giovanni. Travelling from Milan Malpensa Airport to Como San Giovanni by train will require a minimum of 1 change. Once you get to Como San Giovanni, you would then need to take a bus (C10 or C25 bus), taxi or private car to Laglio to reach your hotel. Note, the bus will take you about 30 minutes from the train station to Laglio, and by car it will take about 20-25 minutes.
Rental Car
You can also take a taxi or take a private transport car to get from MXP to Laglio. Taxis can run around EUR 200, while a private transport varies. If you do opt to utilize a rental car, please check with your accommodation location if they allow parking for your rental car. Note, driving in the area can be very challenging so we would recommend a taxi or private transport before a rental car.
