Rental cars are the easiest and cheapest way to get from Cancun Airport to Akumal. Akumal is about 1.5 hour drive south of Cancun Airport - it is a very easy drive down a safe highway. Rental cars are about $20 for a sedan and $50 a day for a SUV and easy to pick-up upon arrival at the airport. Additionally, Las Villas Akumal (Hotel) offers shuttle services which you can arrange with Claudia when making a hotel reservation.

There is a room block at Las Villas Akumal that can be arranged by calling the number above and asking for Claudia Marquez or emailing her directly at reservations@lasvillasakumal.com. All rooms are like apartments with kitchens, living rooms and porches with 3 bedroom (6 people), 2 bedroom (4 people) and 1 bedroom (2 people) options. You can always squeeze an extra person on a sofa if needed - be discrete. PLEASE try to coordinate with family and friends to book the larger rooms first - there are a very limited number of 1 bedroom options.
