FAQs

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

YES! Cocktail attire, please. Suits, dress pants with blazer, button down shirt, dresses, jumpsuits. Tie optional. Please no largely white or off-white clothing. Dan, please leave the Carhartts at home.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

As much as we'd love to celebrate with your new partner, husband or fiancé, due to venue constraints we had to be fairly strict with the invite list are only able to accommodate those listed by name on your invitation. We tried to be as fair as we could with the metric for invites but ultimately had to cap using a rule that Sara and Dan both agreed on together. If you feel like a mistake has been made on your invite, please reach out to S or D!

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

As much as we love your littles, our event will be open to kiddos in just our immediate family. Thanks for understanding!

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Join us for a welcome party at Circa 29 Friday night! Check out the schedule page for deets.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yep! See our travel page. One hotel block is currently open - better for those who want a quieter space outside of downtown. There are a ton of cool Airbnbs in Asheville and surrounding areas (Weaverville, Black Mountain), as well as hotels downtown walkable to bars/breweries.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Please do so when RSVPing! We have an option suitable for vegan/vegetarian/gluten free/dairy free diets. The venue is also a full service catering company that prides itself on being able to accommodate almost any dietary restriction.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There will be shuttle from Crowne Plaza Hotel to the wedding venue and back. More details coming in late-March/early-April.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

April 7th, please! But honestly, the sooner you can, the easier it is for us to begin moving things into place :)

Question

What's the weather like up there?

Answer

We looked up some weather data over the last 5 years or so and it looks like the first few days of May has an average of around 71 at 5pm and around 62 at 9pm. After speaking to the venue and our room-block hotel there at the bottom of the mountain, it seems the weather up on top where the wedding venue is remains fairly consistent with where the weather is pulled for forecasts in Asheville (AVL Airport). The only difference is it tends to be a little breezier up at the venue.
