It all started on a random January day in 2017, after months of crushing on each other and friends encouraging the two to get together Lexi sat in study hall and asked Jake to be their boyfriend. After repeating the question in a way that was actually understandable Jake responded with a very subtle "sure". Jake and Lexi stayed together through High School going on a few trips for band together. They also followed each other to Iowa State University where they attended together. There they faced many obstacles including COVID, troublesome roommates, and some semesters spent long distance for Study Abroad and Internship opportunities. They also encountered many great things in college such as their awesome friends, their adorable and mischievous cat, Dusty, and their new found mutual love of Horror movies. After 4 and a half years Jake was ready to graduate college. His post-grad opportunities lead him to Nashville Tennessee and the couple endured another semester of long distance while Lexi finished their degree. It was during this time that Jake knew he was ready to bring out a big guns. He began saving for and planning their proposal. When it was time for Lexi to graduate Jake made the day even more special by asking the big question while taking graduation pictures at the most romantic place on Campus, the Campanile. Lexi then rounded out the big weekend with a move to Nashville so they could spend their life together.
