The Wedding Website of Therese Gatterburg and Alexia Coville
Everything you need to know to get there :) To give a little context on the island of Evia, the Villa Delenia is nearest to the small town called Eleochori. It is on the south-eastern side of the island, facing the great Aegean. The nearest town is Styra or Nea Styra, on the south-western side of the island. This part of Evia is the thinnest, it can be driven across within 20 to 30 minutes. The ferry from mainland Greece arrives and departs in Nea Styra. The ferry we advise you take when coming from the mainland, leaves from Agios Marina on the mainland, and takes around 40 minutes. The alternative route is about two hours of taking the bridge between mainland and Evia, then a coastal road down to the southern half of the island (from the airport to the villa via land route, it is approximately 2.30 hours).

Travel Note

Arrival At Villa Delenia

Please NOTE: There is one bit to avoid towards the end of your journey. When you get to a white cabin in the village of Elaiochori it will tell you to turn left down a very steep and narrow road - IGNORE THAT! Just keep on the 'main road' (which is also quite narrow) and drive around the church/cemetery, with it on your left, NOT on your right! Make sure you download the map before your trip, as you will lose your signal at some point. You will then have a 2-kilometer drive from Eleochori to the venue which is mostly not paved and winds around a few coves. The road is rocky, bumpy and, in other words, adventurous, but trust me, the views are worth it!
