While on a family vacation to Minneapolis, a close friend of mine had asked if I wanted to go to Valleyfair with him and a few friends. Since I was already down there we had arranged for me to meet them there and I would drive home with them. Well, I had learned that Cam was going to be the one driving so I insisted that my parents wanted me to get the details from him since he was the driver. (This of course was a rouse to get his phone number) I ended up not being able to go to Valleyfair, but from that day forward Cam and I would talk everyday until we went on our first date in August of 2016. We hit it off right away and a month later in September, we began dating.

When most people learn that we have been together since we were 17 and 18, the most common expression is shock. We were quite young when we first started dating, well younger than we are now, and even though we were teenagers when we started dating, we both knew that it was meant to be. We were kids when we first met, and now we are adults in our early 20's and we have done so much growing together. Learning how to not only be a couple, but also learning who we are as individuals and what makes us who we are. We have learned how to be apart during Cam's Basic training, Tech School, TDY Trips and a soon to be three month deployment, as well as trips I have taken to explore. We learned how to live together from when we got our apartment and adding our first four legged fur baby, Naboo. To now owning a home and adding another fur baby, Nova. And now, our most exciting journey yet, getting married.
